SUMMARY
The Benefits Services Specialist is responsible for assisting client companies and their participants with the administration of their flexible compensation plans.
This position will interface with clients, client's brokers, and client participants daily to administer their plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as the primary point of contact for our client base. Contacts client base at least 60 days in advance to discuss plan changes and / or support during renewal.
- Respond to all clients / participant inquiries regarding FSA / DCA, HSA, HRA / QSEHRA accounts, claims and other benefits related inquiries.
- Participate in open enrollment meetings upon request from the clients.
- Process non-discrimination testing for clients upon request.
- Process all benefit terminations for FSA / DCA / HRA / HSA and COBRA plans daily.
- Responsible for file feed setup, download and processing daily.
- Maintain monthly reports for existing and new clients.
- Update all direct deposit and ACH information in the system daily. Responds to vendor's request to rectify ACH discrepancies.
- Create and / or update plan documents and plan amendments for clients as needed.
- Responsible for daily processing of e-claims and manual FSA / DCA and HRA / QSEHRA claims daily.
- Audit all direct deposits daily and re-issues reimbursements if needed daily.
- Reviews and processes furlough and status changes daily.
- Responsible for check issuing and receipt letters daily.
- Review duplicates daily.
- Audit claim payment processing by running claim history reports daily.
- Maintains renewal spreadsheet. Reviews and updates New Client Master Log as needed.
- Serves a backup for the COBRA Services area as needed.
- May be assigned additional duties within Catapult to enhance member experiences.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Extensive knowledge of employee flexible compensation plans benefits and applicable laws.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Efficient organizational and time management skills
- Proficient with MS Office Suites, HRIS programs or other similar software
TRAVEL
Catapult is a remote-first employer, however, employees must reside in North or South Carolina. Must be willing to travel to assigned home office / region, other Catapult locations and throughout the Catapult service area as determined by company.
Mileage to / from home office / region is not reimbursable.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum of 3-5 years of benefits related experience
- Overall human resources and other benefits experience preferred
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED
- 2-year degree in human resources, business or other related field preferred
- Certification in Flexible Compensation Plans required
