MINIMUM :
BS Degree in Early Childhood Education
PREFERRED :
- Birth K Child Development Degree with a BK Teaching License
- Work exp with children
- Current DL with a car and ability to travel; criminal background clearance; physical examinations; TB test
- First Aid / CPR
Professional Responsibilities :
- Assist in maintaining the staff / child ratio at all times.
- Responsible for reporting potential abuse and neglect according to the Head Start / Early Start Policies and Procedures.
- Responsible for adhering to the professional development plan, including renewal of annual credentials (*required for continued employment in this position).
- Must be able to attend out-of-town conferences and training sessions periodically
- Maintain professionalism at all times through actions and behaviors
- Display a friendly and positive attitude towards job duties, parents, children, staff members, and others (visitors, volunteers, community partners), and willingly perform job duties.
- Communicate effectively by using productive comments, pleasant expressions, and welcoming gestures
- Must be a team player
Compensation :
$39,900 to $44,000 per year annual salary.
