Outpatient Surgery - Registered Nurse

Sign-On Bonus : External applicants eligible for up to $20, with a two (2) year commitment to that role.

Sign-on bonus eligibility : Open to external applicates who have not been previously employed by CMC in the last rolling 9 months.

This is a full time (, day shift Registered Nurse position in the Outpatient Surgery department.

The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer.

Provides expert care and education to patients in the perioperative setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel.

The RN is knowledgeable in all surgical procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.

Minimum Required :

• RN License required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider and ACLS within 3 months of hire.
• Must complete moderate sedation course within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills required.

Preferred / Desired :

• BSN Preferred.
• PALS preferred.
• CAPA or CPAN Certification preferred.
• Two (2) years Pre-Op, PACU, or Acute Care experience preferred.
• Cardiac Monitoring experience preferred.

On Call / Weekend Requirements : Every third weekend.
