Position Summary :
Our Division Sales Director reports directly to the Division President and is responsible for executing and achieving the Division’s sales plan for products, programs and services.
This position is accountable for managing the strategic sales roles which includes Sales Account Consultants, Business Development Manager and Merchandise Supervisor & Associates.
The right candidate will be a strong communicator who can coach, develop and retain talent. This individual should possess strong organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to balance Division needs and Corporate Vision alignment is critical for long-term success.
Position Responsibilities :
- Providing leadership skills that includes strong understanding and execution of Core-Marks Core Values.
- Sales recruitment, coaching, development and retention leading to a focused aligned team with corporate strategies.
- Building a strategic annual sales plan to achieve the Division and Corporate goals.
- Providing reporting at all levels to measure strategic success and progress.
- Liaison from Corporate to the Division with all technology and marketing programs.
- Consulting on pricing, margin results vs. plan.
- Creating and managing Selling expense.
- Interviewing, hiring, training and conducting performance evaluations with sales team.
- Leader with implementation of new corporate programs.
- Analyzing sales data to formulate sales action plans and to assist sales force in achieving their goals.
- Preparing periodic sales reports as requested by management.
- Periodically calling on local chain and independent accounts to conduct business reviews and access needs and satisfaction.
- Coordinating follow-up on all chain agreements, including resolution of store level problems and logistics with DC management.
- Assisting other departments within organization to create sales promotions for customers.
- Representing company at trade association meetings to promote company products and services.
Qualifications :
BA / BS Degree Or Equivalent Work Experience.
5-10 years of progressively responsible sales experience within a similar retail customer environment.
Proven Leadership (teams >
10) & critical thinking skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
Prior people leadership and development experience.
