Senior Staff Accountant

About the Role :

This is an onsite role located in Deerfield Beach, FL. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team at The Learning Experience.

As a key member of our accounting team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

Responsibilities :

• Manage and maintain financial records and reports - monthly, quarterly and annual closing of corporate centers
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements - bank reconciliations, voucher submissions, analysis of AR, accruals, prepaid amortizations and fixed assets
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy - balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis
• Process payroll for corporate employees
• Maintain records of account entries by compiling and analyzing accounting activities, and maintaining the general ledger
• Preparation of annual audit, filing annual reports, resolving tax notices, obtaining PR tax state ID's for new locations

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification is a plus
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Payroll experience required
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Netsuite software experience (desired)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
