Job Summary
Emigrant Bank is looking for an experienced and highly motived mortgage sales professional with portfolio lending experience.
The candidate will be able to offer unique and creative residential and commercial mortgage products.The candidate in this position will seekaccount mortgage loans to be made by Emigrant in connection with purchase and refinancing of existing one-to-four family dwellings, condominium units and cooperative apartments, as well as eligible multi-use and commercial properties, and SBA loans if requested to do so.
This position also oversees other types of proposed loans or financing as may be authorized in writing from time to time by an Officer of Emigrant.
This management position offers a competitive base salary, commission paid on a monthly basis, and an annual discretionary bonus.
A full benefits package is offered including K, medical, dental, and monthly expenses.Responsibilities Responsible for meeting the Area or Region’s assigned volume goals as established by Senior Management.
Recommending new accounts for participation in the BrokerDirect Program andmanage existing accounts to ensure adequate volume levels.
Providing oversight of the office(s) and your Area or Region’s effectivenessincluding if assigned, any Administrative Support function.
Reviewing pipeline reports weekly and communicating with Processing to ensure that loans are processed in a timely manner or are removed, if inactive.
Performing public relations duties on behalf of EM such as representing EM at local events and trade associations. Providing current wholesale / retail mortgage industry intelligence to Senior Management regarding handling of new regulatory matters, new trends in loanproducts and programs, as well as any other pertinent information from the markets Emigrant serves.
To perform other duties as assigned by EM Senior Management.Qualifications Minimum 4 year college degree. 3+ years of proven mortgage sales success.
Both residential and commercial mortgage sales experience in wholesale and retail originations preferred. Execute tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong IT and written skills. Self-starter, able to work and interact at multiple levels of the organization. Ability to make decisions after appropriate evaluation and consultation.
