CNC Machinist (Mill)

MUST HAVE 3+ YEARS AT EACH POSITION LISTED ON RESUME.

NOT A PRODUCTION MACHINIST ROLE, CUSTOM FABRICATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

7 AM - 3 : 30 PM

$20-38 / hr.

CNC machinist for Hurco mills.

Have machined parts in the custom parts for the oil & gas industry.

Must be very familiar with reviewing a print, setting up the machine with the proper tooling, programming when necessary using the machine code, adjusting more complicated programs done offline when needed, and of course getting parts done quickly and accurately.

Mechanically inclined and can understand what a customer is asking us to do, think outside the box to come up with a solution, and get the task at hand accomplished in a timely manner.

Custom job shop meaning we don’t do production work.

We are NOT looking for someone who has been at a production shop running the same part for months simply loading material and pressing start.

Each of our employees needs to be individual thinkers who are always looking for a better / faster way to get something done.

CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities :

• Perform daily check of CNC machine before operating
• Perform machine preventative maintenance (grease chuck, fluid check i.e.. Spindle oil, coolants levels, clean chips off ways and table)
• Maintain a clean work area, work bench and organized
• Set up machine to successfully conduct the run as specified
• Conduct program edits, but not limited to long hand programming if required
• Monitor the run throughout the cycle, checking that specifications are met
• Always follow safety and QMS / ISO quality standards
• Report any Quality, safety and / or maintenance concerns to management immediately

CNC Machinist Requirements and Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good time-management skills, communication skills problem solving skills
• 2+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist
• Able to read and follow technical drawings and diagrammed instructions
