Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Experience providing multi-media environmental compliance services, such as compliance assessments and audits (required).
- Developing compliance documents and permit applications associated with the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
- Supporting projects involving due diligence with substantial historical research including ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
- Contributing to the preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
- Supporting site characterization and remediation projects.
- Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
- Developing task, project, and client management skills.
Education and Licensure
- Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, environmental science, or related discipline. (required)
- Advanced degree (M.S.) in environmental or civil engineering or environmental science. (preferred)
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or similar type of professional certification in your field or working towards certification. (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
At least 2 years (5+ preferred) of experience working in a consulting or manufacturing or industrial environment, with a working knowledge of industrial processes, and their impacts to the environment;
or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental compliance, assessments. (preferred)
- Prior experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Office products. (required)
- Experience with GIS and databases. (preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
