The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the routing inbound / outbound trucks in coordination with our Sales Force, Buyers, Vendors, and Operations.

This includes pickup and delivery information, loading time and locations, directions to locations and freight information, proper loading.

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements :

• Building solid partnerships with carriers that will benefit the organization, coordinating negotiations on freight rates, executing, expediting and monitoring proper routing, and documents.
• Responsible for carrier selection and notification of daily shipping.
• Ensure that the lowest cost to deliver decisions are made during the purchasing process by working cross-functionally with Buyers, Vendors and Carriers
• Hire carriers and dispatch carriers.
• Monitor loading process at the pickup points to assure timely receiving of product, troubleshoot any problem on loads.
• Communicate within the facility in regard to all truck issues on a daily basis.
• Participate in setting carriers’ standards and policies.
• Establish, maintain and grow relationships with carriers.
• Provide assistance with any issues related to Logistics.
• Ability to cube trucks while maximizing capacity of trailer and keeping truck within legal weight.
• Match up the right loads with the right carriers at the right rates.
• Partner with buyers to help manage customer expectations.
• Ensures shipment tracking & tracing and other inquiries including rate quotes and special requests.
• Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment
• Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point is essential
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
• International Logistics Experience a plus!
• A minimum of 2-3 years related Logistics experience
