Ibotta is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own Data Platform and Data Products to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Ibotta data ecosystem, from platform to business critical data products.

Initiatives include data quality, tooling and infrastructure, improving forecastability and developing products to measure campaign performance.

You will focus on creating exceptional product experiences that help internal and external customers build best in class data products.

You will also work directly with senior leaders to inform future direction around data.

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing :

  • Drive the data strategy and roadmap, in collaboration with senior leaders and peers. Ibotta’s next data plays should come from you.
  • Lead definition and execution efforts for the most important data products across the business, while shaping how Ibotta runs on data.
  • Own and improve product data quality through a deep understanding of Data Consumers and Producers needs across the Ibotta ecosystem.
  • Develop and manage the Data Platform Product strategy and roadmap to maximize business impact while establishing and enforcing federated data quality standards, monitoring services, and auditing processes.
  • Understand and leverage user needs across Ibotta to develop product requirements and set development & investment priorities.
  • Partner with our business leaders Top Executives, Department Leaders, Engineering leaders, and Product Managers - to understand their environment and needs.
  • Enable the broader technology and analytics groups through communication, awareness campaigns, and training to advocate for data accountability and ownership.

What we are looking for :

  • 6+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 4 years as a Data Infrastructure and / or Tooling Product Manager or equivalent.
  • BA / BS in CS / Engineering, Economics / Physics / Math, or a related field is required.
  • Experience implementing data best practices related to privacy, protection, security, and access control policies at scale.
  • Experience working with large-scale, end-to-end data platforms and analysis solutions, with exposure to platforms and tools such as Databricks, Spark, Airflow, MySQL, DBT, and Looker .
  • Experience building data products in collaboration with analytics teams.
  • You combine a knowledgeable product sense, robust data expertise, and excellent communication skills to define, explain, and successfully execute your vision and roadmap.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally at all levels to ensure that your solutions drive real business impact.
  • Desire to become a subject matter expert on your domain and represent its strategy to senior leadership.
  • Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional partners.
  • Comfort navigating product challenges in a high-growth environment, working cross-functionally within a collaborative culture, and leading a team through dynamic change.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You must be comfortable communicating both with your engineering team and executive teams across Ibotta.

Additional Details :

This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match.

Denver office perks include paid parking, bagel Thursdays, snacks and occasional meals.

Base compensation range : $140,000 - $170,000. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component in addition to base salary.

Equity is included in overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
