We are looking for a motivated, independent and people person Full Time Supervisor.

As the Gift Shop supervisor, you will be responsible to help organize, run our gift shop, and fill in for the Store Manager when needed.

Your job will be highly important in ensuring the sales team meets its goals of efficiency and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Store Manager in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers.
  • Able to make managerial decisions and take initiative in the absent of store manager.
  • Problem solving skills.

Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

  • Meet all deadlines required by management in a timely manner.
  • Keep track of inventory in a daily and weekly basis.

Update inventory, expenses tracker, keep track of invoices, and other important files.

  • Monitor retail operating costs, budgets, and resources.
  • Research emerging products and use information to update the store’s merchandise.
  • Create reports, analyze, and interpret retail data, like revenues, expenses, and competition.
  • Conduct regular audits and walk throughs to ensure the store is functionable and presentable.
  • Monitor and maintain store inventory, make sure the store is fully stock and neat in a daily basis.
  • Analyze consumer behavior and adjust product positioning.
  • Handle complaints from customers and resolve in the most professional way to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with clients and evaluate their needs, keep track of all guest special requests.
  • Coordinate daily customer service operations (e.g., sales processes, special order requests, payments among others).
  • Ensuring store schedules and objectives are met by employees.
  • Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives.
  • Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs.
  • Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best and follow up disciplinary actions when needed.
  • Coach and support new and existing Cashiers.
  • Suggest sales training programs and techniques.
  • Make sure all employees adhere to company’s policies and guidelines.
  • Act as our store’s representative and set an example for our staff.
  • Maintain excellent grooming appearance and provide excellent customer service and able to upsell all times.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up-to 50 lbs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a Retail Supervisor, Gift Shop, or similar position or hospitality industry background.
  • Experience with recruiting and performance evaluation processes.
  • Familiarity with financial and customer service principles.
  • Good math skills with the ability to create and analyze reports, spreadsheets, and sales statistics.
  • Proficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular).
  • Leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving attitude.
