As the Quality Inspector, you will complete incoming inspection and in-process inspection of parts / components for the Quality Assurance Department, ensuring that products and materials meet company standards.

Under the guidance of the Manager Continuous Improvement & Quality, you'll provide technical assistance to support daily operations, projects, measurement methods and performance testing, and execution of the Quality Business System.

You Will :

Coordinate and perform incoming inspections and in-process monitoring activities for parts / components.

Update and maintain all required incoming documentation and inspection logs.

Make decisions using detailed acceptance criteria and product specifications regarding quality of the parts / components.

Complete gage calibrations and provide detailed calibration documents / reports Assist with continuous improvement functions.

Develop and improve inspection methods and gage calibration system.

Develop and upgrade departmental procedures (Quality Business System).

Participate in the Quick Kaizen program to meet Continuous Improvement goals.

Provide support for projects to support manufacturing, engineering and quality efforts.

Lead required testing to support manufacturing and new product development.

Provide training and coaching on inspection and calibration methods.

Coordinate and perform evaluations on returned products (Returned Material Authorization).

Coordinate RMA activities with Receiving, Customer Service, and Accounting.

Collaborate with Production, Materials, Customer Service teams to communicate issues and requirements and inspection results.

You Have :

High School Diploma, and / or A.S Degree / Technical Discipline

3 to 5 years' experience with Quality Assurance Inspection Methods or Manufacturing preferred

ASQ Certifications (CMI, CQT)

Experience in basic Metrology and Calibration

Quality / Mechanical Lab experience

Understanding of inspection techniques and ability to use inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, CMM, microscope, height gages, etc.)

Read and interpreted part / assembly drawings

Physical Requirements :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and / or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include : close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment :

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
