Manufacturing Engineer - Catoosa, OK Job Description -
Responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of developing, establishing, testing, and improving manufacturing systems and methods, including automation and enhancing processing equipment, material handling equipment, tooling, fixtures,
jigs, and testing equipment.
- Ensure the implementation of standard operating procedures to drive safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with vendors to determine product specifications, arrange for the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products based on specifications and quality standards.
- Engage in discussions with management, engineering, and other staff to facilitate production processes by considering manufacturing capabilities and production schedules.
- Apply statistical methods to forecast future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Ensure compliance with equipment maintenance tasks and schedules as per manufacturer's recommendations.
- Analyze labor costs and devise workflow and staffing plans, equipment placement, and space requirements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and identify and address bottlenecks.
- Evaluate and ensure accuracy of metrics for efficiency and productivity, driving continuous improvement.
- Assess capacity and allocate necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Identify and analyze process and design improvements to reduce costs and lead time.
- Maintain compliance with all government laws and regulations pertaining to manufacturing processes.
- Suggest new policies or procedures to enhance products or services.
- Conduct training and assessments as directed.
- Document current and ideal practices and conduct post-completion audits to ensure compliance with improvement initiatives.
- Manage 3D CAD design through to the commissioning of tooling and fixtures.
Requirements : Regular attendance and punctuality at work. Ability to work cooperatively with others, including the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting.
