Position Summary
The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant promotes a positive patient and family experience as the first impression of the Diagnostic Imaging department by creating a welcoming atmosphere to all patients, families and providers.
The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant is responsible for the efficient and orderly registration and check-in of patients and acts as a liaison between patients, families and hospital staff.
Obtains accurate and complete patient demographic information and required consents before notifying appropriate modalities of the patient's arrival.
Supports Children's departments and clinics in uploading images for future referred patients, as well as sending images and reports to outside facilities for continuation of care.
License / Certification / Registration required? No
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience :
- One year of customer service experience required
- Previous experience with medical imaging software applications and the staff and vendors whose work relates to those systems
- One year of medical office setting experience preferred
- Experience in a Diagnostic Imaging setting preferred

The posted pay range represents rates for a grouping of multiple jobs within a salary grade. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs.
