What you’ll do

• Assist with the upgrade of control computers onsite
• Monitor Controls network for McAfee compliance and resolve issues that arise
• Monitors Controls network to ensure timely backups and resolve issues that arise
• Deploy approved Microsoft updates to control assets
• Maintain and update the asset inventory list for control assets
• Update Network and Fiber drawings plant-wide
• Assist with installation of new networking and control hardware for infrastructure upgrades
• Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of the Power Monitoring system onsite

Who you are

• Available to begin work on or around May 12th, 2025
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• As this position requires the operation of a motor vehicle, a valid US Driver's License is required
• Previous experience is considered an asset
• Strong attitude for carrying out all work in a safe, cautious manner while following safe work practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer science, Information Technology, or Information Systems, or a related technology / engineering degree
• Preference will be given to students in 3rd or 4th year
• Currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
• Candidates currently enrolled in either a master’s or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
• Strong academic performance
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the scheduled semester.
• Attached copies of transcripts
• New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities

Working Conditions

May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc.

Safety Sensitive

• This is a safety sensitive role and as such you will also be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours
• Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the Cenovus pre-employment medical and drug / alcohol assessment requirements
• Safety sensitive positions require the operation of a motor vehicle. A valid US Driver’s License with no restrictions is a requirement for this role
