Senior Manager, Application Development

Responsibilities :

  • Manages the overall product and platforms development for the transportation industry
  • Implements plans, policies, and procedures to manage the complete products life cycle
  • Accountable for department performance and results
  • Manage the activities of first-level product development managers, project managers, customer support managers, and individual contributors
  • Directs the development of new or innovative solutions, including CapEx and customer-initiated new features and enhancement
  • Reports status to senior technology and business leadership
  • Input and review solutions and cost estimates in internal bids
  • Maintain broad technical expertise and in-depth industry knowledge of public transit
  • Collaborates with system engineers, customer support, and product management to prioritize product development needs
  • Evaluates results within the work area to determine if departmental goals are being met.
  • Managers hiring and termination actions, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • Demonstrated comprehensive experience managing the planning, developing, testing, and implementing of software application changes
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience management within development arena
  • Demonstrated comprehensive experience using software development lifecycle methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage large scale concurrent projects and effectively respond to unanticipated customer business priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff in a complex IT environment
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting.
  • A degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with staff, management, support personnel, client and interfacing agencies / companies.
  • Communication skills to work effectively with staff, management, support personnel, client and interfacing agencies / companies

In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation or sick time.

The estimated salary range for this role is $142,450-$185,000.
