ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The role involves process capability, cost reduction, and continuous improvement of project implementation within a designated manufacturing unit.

It requires providing specific engineering work related to the field of expertise, with broad overlap between engineering subject areas expected.

Supporting capacity optimization and growth, as well as defining budgeted rates and process documentation, are part of the responsibilities.

Ensuring compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures, standard processes, and all local, state, federal, and BD safety guidelines, policies, and procedures is essential.

Regular and punctual attendance is a crucial job function.

The ability to read, write, and converse in English is required.

Willingness and ability to uphold BD Values are expected.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Implement and sustain BD Excellence work process for the manufacturing unit.

Identifies critical equipment setting and creation of standards.

Creates technical knowledge for the manufacturing unit and transfers the knowledge to the operator and technical associates.

Coach associates on continuous improvement methodologies within the manufacturing unit.

Understands top losses within the manufacturing unit and develops and implements plans to eliminate losses and drive OEE performance.

Responsible for manufacturing unit change control including validation activities, root cause analysis of prioritized OEE losses, and quality events and deviations.

Facilitate quality non-conformances investigations and corrective actions for respective lines or processes.

Develop and maintain machine and process work instructions and manufacturing procedures.

Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

RESULTS

Ensures safety of all associates and quality of product.

Ensures new manufacturing processes and process improvements meet Manufacturing Unit objectives.

Ensures equipment is running efficiently and effectively.

Analyzes current state of equipment efficiency to drive OEE improvement and sustainability.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education / Experience :

This position has the following minimum educational requirements :

Bachelor's degree is required (Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred).

At least 3 years of manufacturing experience (required).

2 years of Medical manufacturing experience (preferred).
