Associate Software Engineer

As an Associate Software Engineer, you must be proficient in modern web technologies, and embrace a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities Include :

• Develop new features by understanding the requirement from product team
• Write clean code along with a healthy unit and integration test coverage
• Analyze and identify issues in product requirements and take appropriate action
• Translate product requirements into technical solutions through design discussions
• Participate in technical code reviews
• Adhere to established software development guidelines
• Troubleshoot issues and recommend required actions
• Support your deliverables in production
• Adopt Agile process within SquareTrade

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years of software development experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively connect with both business and technical teams

Nice to have :

• Experience with message-based solutions like (Kafka, SQS, Kinesis)
• Experience in microservice architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful Services using languages such as Java, SprintBoot; UI / UX using Angular
• Experience with relational data stores (PostgreSQL)
• Exposure to highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment
• Basic understanding of Scrum and Agile principles

Colorado Only) Pursuant to applicable law, SquareTrade estimates the possible compensation for this role, if hired in Colorado, to be within the following range : $80-90K.
