Job Duties
- Engage clients in individual therapy sessions throughout the course of treatment
- Establishes and maintains knowledge regarding documentation with the electronic medical records system : KIPU
- Establishes treatment plans and determines the appropriate length of stay based on the clinical needs of the client
- Collects and prepares data as requested by the administration
- Facilitate group counseling in accordance with the established clinical program
- Attends and participates in continuing education opportunities to maintain current knowledge in the industry
- Collaborates with medical staff and case management staff to provide comprehensive care to clients
- Facilitates family programming as required
- Understand the interconnectedness of cooccurring disorders and is knowledgeable of various therapeutic interventions to treat these disorders
- Familiar with psychotropic medications and maintains an understanding of client’s medication regiments
- Ensures and abides by all regulatory standards pertaining to federal, state, and local regulations
- Engages and participates in weekly and group supervision
Qualifications :
- LPC, LSW, or LCPC or LCSW
- CADC preferred. Experience with Mental Health Counseling and Addiction Counseling
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or Healthcare related major
- Valid IL driver’s license and auto insurance
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Able to work collaboratively with multiple health and criminal justice professionals using tact, diplomacy, and discipline
- Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with patients, families, and other personnel
- Clinical knowledge pertaining to substance use disorders, mental health diagnoses, as well as trauma-specific populations
