AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Fort Worth, TX has an opening for a Part-Time Fabricator / Welder primarily responsible for welding and fabricating parts, equipment and other items used to build basic to complex panel assemblies from drawing and wiring schematics used in commercial water testing and treatment industry.

This is a part-time, non-exempt position, up to 25 hours a week with the potential for full-time employment.

The Part-Time Fabricator / Welder is a hands-on position that requires a balance of trade and industry knowledge combined with the following areas of critical focus and skills :

• High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of industrial construction / maintenance experience; 1-2 years’ experience preferred.
• Direct experience with or working knowledge of plumbing, welding, automotive, electrical, or mechanical operations.
• Experience with MIG and Stick Welding.
• Excellent eyesight and color vision. Good dexterity.
• Verbal communication skills with the ability to follow and provide directions effectively.
• Ability to read measurements, verify dimensions, and interpret customer specifications.
• Maintain an efficient production schedule.
• Test products for their functionality and trouble shoot / resolve design errors.

Other helpful skills and qualifications include :

• Familiarity and knowledge of ISO9001 standards, Lean manufacturing, and Kanban initiatives.
• Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products such as Outlook.
• Speak, read, and write English to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and / or instructions.
• Wear appropriate PPE as required by Company and OSHA standards.
• Demonstrate a positive work ethic and a sense of urgency in completing work assignments; maintaining a proactive can do approach to all responsibilities.
• Able to stand, sit, move, bend, twist for extended periods of time and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Execute assignments in an ethical, accurate, timely, and safe manner with the ability to perform tasks through to completion.
