We’re looking for a Sr. Writer to join us at Heart Haus, the internal agency at CVS Health, supporting our Health Plan businesses Aetna and CVS Caremark.

Reporting to a Creative Group Manager, and working closely with the Associate Creative Director, the Sr. Writer will partner with a team of Art Directors to lead and / or support the writing and ideation for various projects across brand and marketing communications.

This individual must have top-notch writing, concepting, and editing skills, including knowledge of proper punctuation, spelling and grammar.

A strong portfolio showing examples for B2B and B2C audiences is required. Knowledge of video ideation and production is necessary, as is experience across all digital media, with a special emphasis on social.

Experience in an agency (or in-house agency) that values the power of superior creative, partnership, and collaboration is preferred.

Big brand and health care experience is a plus. Strong presentation skills with the ability to sell your work to the Creative Director and marketing stakeholders are essential.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Ideate and write creative solutions that adhere to the brand vision and brand standards of two Health Plan brands under one roof, juggling multiple projects, partners, and campaigns.
  • Bring ideas and creative to life with passion and commitment whether the job is an enterprise-wide campaign or one-off email.
  • Develop and maintain trusted partnerships with peers and internal business teams.
  • Apply deep and demonstrated experience in writing for a broad range of deliverables that include paid, earned and owned channels, including OLV, display, print, email, DM, and social.
  • This is a hybrid role working onsite 3 days a week out of any of the CVS Hubs

Required Qualifications :

  • 5 years overall experience as a writer.
  • 2 years of experience as a Senior Writer (in-house or external agency).

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Proven track record as a Writer, and a portfolio filled with breakthrough creative samples.
  • Top-notch writing and editing skills, including knowledge of proper punctuation, spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to lead, generate and support impactful creative writing ideas and executions that deliver and adhere to the brand vision and brand standards.
  • Ability to understand a marketing brief and translate the input into ideas.
  • Must have the ability to sell creative ideas.
  • Knowledge of digital, print, and video production.
  • Ability to demonstrate a passion for strategic and creative problem solving.
  • Must be well-organized and able to communicate ideas and develop strategies.
  • Strong team player with enthusiasm, positive attitude, and the willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.
  • Strong written, verbal, conceptual, and presentation skills.
  • Technical skills include the Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and proficient on a Mac; experience with Figma, Miro and Gen AI is helpful.
  • Experience working in creative marketing agencies or marketing organizations.

Education :

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (4 years).

Pay Range :

The typical pay range for this role is :

$66,330.00 - $159,120.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
