Vocational Evaluator PT 25

Scheduling : This position is consistently 25 hours per week. 20 hours per week will be based on a 4-day, 5-hour onsite assessment that can range from day time hours to occasional evening hours (ex.

4 : 30p-9 : 30p), and will change weekly, with most 5 hour shifts occurring Monday-Friday in between the hours of 8 : 30-3 : 30.

The remaining 5 hours will be spent on travel time, documentation, and program administrative tasks. Generally, the schedule will be planned 2-3 weeks in advance.

Occasionally if there is a cancelation in assessment, coverage to assist with other departmental needs may be required.

The ideal candidate will have open availability and prefer variety in scheduling week to week. Reliability and flexibility will be required for success in this role.

The vocational evaluator engages people we support and establishes trusting, collaborative relationships directed toward the goal of maintaining competitive employment in community job settings.

Job coach and evaluate work performance for referred individuals for assessments or community work experiences. Completes written assessment reports and identifies individuals' support needs.

Completes weekly community based work assessment to evaluate person's work readiness skills to assist in making programming recommendations.

• Markets and promotes Agency employment program and the valuable aspects of participating to potential employers for the purpose of establishing new community connections and increase accessibility for people with disabilities
• Builds rapport and ongoing dialogue with employers to assess the employer’s satisfaction with job performance, ensure the people we support achieve success, and to proactively identify issues.
• Maintains communication with program manager to address any issues or concerns during assessment process
• Provides supervision and support to people completing assessments to build confidence surrounding work performance
• Provides feedback through constructive conversations aimed towards helping person to improve work skills
• Maintain a positive relationship with individuals’ family members / guardians, including providing status updates and acting as a positive liaison between family / guardians, the employer, Job Path program, and support team members.

All collaborate to problem solve issues related to facilitate a cohesive support team.

• With support from manager, oversees and problem-solves issues as they arise while at job site during evaluation
• Complete necessary paperwork to meet Arc of Monroe, federal and state regulatory requirements, which may include, but not limited to : billable service notes, all Job Path documentation and ACCES-VR milestone reports
• Interfaces with funding and regulatory agencies such as but not limited to : Arc of Monroe, Job Path, ACCES-VR, and OPWDD to ensure effective relationships as well as understanding and compliance with regulations and requirements
