Here's what you'll be doing
You'll be at the forefront of space manufacturing, applying cutting-edge industrial engineering principles to one of the most exciting projects in human history.
Your day-to-day will involve :
- Leading manufacturing improvement projects, from ergonomics to capacity planning
- Conducting time-motion studies and data analysis to optimize our production processes
- Designing and implementing lean manufacturing techniques across our New Glenn production line
- Collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and operators to solve complex manufacturing challenges
- Creating and maintaining production standards that ensure the safety and quality of our spacecraft
You need these qualifications
- You have a BS in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
- You bring 4+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing environments
- You're an expert in factory flow modeling and process simulations
- You've successfully led continuous improvement and value stream mapping initiatives
- You have a proven track record of data-driven decision making and analytics
- You're authorized to work in the US for any employer
It would be nice if
- You have experience in aerospace or manned spaceflight production
- You hold certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt or PMP
- You've been involved in transitioning products from development to full-scale production
- You have a passion for space exploration and Blue Origin's mission
