The West Region Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving the sales goals of L.B. White Company (LBW) in the West Coast in the Construction Rental / Supply, Greenhouse, and Poultry / Swine sales channels.
The West Region Sales Manager will report to our Global V.P. of Sales.
Specific duties of the Sales Manager include the following :
Develop and execute sales plans to achieve sales goals.
Add new, profitable customers and grow sales to existing customers
Work in partnership with independent sales reps and key distributors
Develop and maintain key relationships at the Integrator and end-user levels to influence decision making process regarding the specification and purchase of LBW products
Grow sales in the territory by calling on Swine, Poultry, and Greenhouse equipment distributors
Manage the relationship with Canadian master distributor based in Vancouver, BC and promote growth in the Canadian Construction Channel
Become an expert on LBW products and conduct training and sales presentations
Be a conduit of market information for LBW development purposes
Use CRM to manage leads, prospects and project pipeline
Visit swine and poultry live production facilities and greenhouses as necessary
The successful candidate will complete an in-depth training program comprised of training at L.B. White headquarters in Wisconsin and in the field with our Regional Sales Managers.
L.B. White pays for all travel-related expenses and provides a computer and smart phone. L.B. White Company offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
This position will require 50-75% overnight travel.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
deal candidate profile :
- Minimum 5 years experience with direct sales of durable goods
- Proven success in the direct-selling prospecting process, resulting in a high rate of closing the sale.
- Demonstrated record of success in selling durable products through a distributor / dealer network.
- Highly developed sales skills and personal attributes including persuasiveness, planning / organizing, reliability and integrity.
- Strong mechanical / technical aptitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop / maintain business relationships
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- 4-year college degree is required
- Experience selling animal confinement and / or Greenhouse equipment is a must
- Experience in the construction rental channel is a plus
- Fluency in the French language is a plus
- Strong desire to have a career with a winning team
