FULL DESCRIPTION : The Mapping Analyst works directly for the Land Surveyor in Responsible Charge and after further evaluation there is opportunity to advance into the role of Land Surveyor in Responsible Charge.

The Mapping Analyst is responsible for preparing record maps, ALTA Surveys, Records of Survey and other survey related items.

The horizontal calculations required for engineering improvement plans are also a function that a Mapping Analyst may perform.

Our client currently uses the current version of Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D. A Mapping Analyst must be able to use this software package or have the ability to learn them to perform design duties.

The Mapping Analyst must be able to give direction to the other Mapping Technicians and Mapping Drafters. These subordinates will be looking to the Mapping Analyst for guidance and review of daily duties, such as, record maps, ALTA Surveys, Records of Survey and other survey related items.

The selected candidate will be also be responsible for :

• Preparing record maps, ALTA Surveys, Records of Survey and other survey related items
• Horizontal calculations required for engineering improvement plans

The selected candidate will also possess :

• Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor or California LSIT / EIT with a goal of attaining a Professional Land Surveyor License
• Knowledge and ability to complete Records of Surveys, Tract Maps, Parcel Maps, Corner Records, Centerline Ties, ALTA surveys, and all City required certification letters
• Knowledge of California Subdivision Map Act and Land Surveyors Act, and a thorough knowledge of drafting standards and processing project requirements is required
• Ability to direct field Surveyors to perform boundary surveys and monument retracement
• Ability to work closely with office Engineers to ensure coordination of technical surveying and engineering aspects of a project
• Ability to complete mapping projects for private land development and public / municipal sectors
• Drafting Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D
• Experience of independent problem solving

Salary Range : $28-$65 / hr
