Mine Maintenance Technician Tasks & Duties (What you'll do)
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment
Disassemble mechanical equipment, identify faulty / worn parts, replace, reassemble, and test
Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic, repair of production and packaging machines
Basic hydraulics / pneumatics experience
Able to read and follow blueprints and electrical diagrams
Able to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in power tools and equipment
Perform maintenance tasks as assigned in manner that maximizes safety and efficiency
Comply with Federal and State regulations
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds frequently
Ability to traverse uneven surfaces, work overhead, climb and use hand tools on regular intervals
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling and extending
Ability to work in damp, and somewhat dark environment associated with an underground coal mine

Mine Maintenance Technician Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Able to pass a background check
Able to work in the US
Industrial / mining maintenance experience preferred
Ability to comprehend equipment schematics, blueprints
Technical degree will be considered a plus
MSHA low, medium and high voltage electrical certification of the ability to obtain
Proficient use of hand tools associated with maintenance activities
