Position Information Job Title Adjunct Economics Instructor Location Woodland Community College - Woodland, CA Job Description Woodland Community College is actively searching for a diverse pool of highly qualified candidates to fill part-time faculty (Adjunct) teaching positions.
These opportunities are available on an ongoing basis to meet the evolving needs of the college. Prospective applicants can expect to be contacted and hired throughout the year in response to the institution’s specific instructional requirements.
The adjunct pools remain open year-round and are routinely refreshed every two years to ensure an updated and dynamic group of potential educators.
BASIC FUNCTION :
- Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Economics courses up to 10 hours / week
- Organize and teach all levels of Economics classes
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning;
- Teach day, evening, and / or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses;
- Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester;
- Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired
- Provide timely feedback to students and post grades regularly
- Respond to student communication in a timely manner
Essential Duties Summary REQUIRED DUTIES :
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Required Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS : The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications stated below :
- Master’s in economics OR
- Bachelor’s in economics AND Master’s in business, business administration, business management, business education, finance, or political science
- OR the equivalent.
Equivalency Requirement : All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District (YCCD) by the application filing date.
Alternatively, applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement.
This ensures that candidates either meet the standard qualifications or have received official recognition of their equivalent qualifications.
Foreign Transcripts : If you possess foreign transcripts, please note that they must undergo a U.S. evaluation and translation.
