Our client, a growing and very reputable Austin area law firm, is seeking an In-House Desktop Support / Project Management Specialist who will work closely with an external team of IT consultants.
This role will hold a pivotal position in maintaining the firm's IT infrastructure to ensure seamless and efficient operations.
Responsibilities will encompass the management and upkeep of hardware, software, networks, and the provision of on-site technical support to the firm’s attorneys and staff.
Proficiency will be instrumental in addressing IT-related issues, fortifying security measures, and optimizing technology assets to align with the firm's strategic goals.
Responsibilities :
Frontline user support for a mid-size law firm. You will work new and existing tickets in-person and via both phone and email, sometimes with users in moments of stress.
You must be a clear, confident communicator.
- Basic Windows server and network administration, especially setting up new users and workstations. You can accurately work off of and update checklists to ensure consistency.
- Identify and proactively reduce recurring issues and automate where possible.
- Assist external consultants in research, technology architecture, revising business processes, etc.
- Engage in project management, collaborate on IT projects, and work closely with both firm management and external consultants.
- Update tickets with your notes and time entries and regularly update documentation, including writing new standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Generally assist with overall management of IT at the firm, including by suggesting ways to streamline the firm’s existing IT processes.
Qualifications :
Proficiency with legal software such as DMS (iManage, NetDocs, etc.), WorkShare Compare, Practice Management (ProLaw, Orion, Juris, etc.
as well as expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Suite products.
- Proactive with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of server support experience
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience at a minimum of a T2 level handling IT support, network administration, and hardware / software.
