Rhode Island College invited applicants for the position of Head Coach, Women’s Softball. This is a full-time academic year, continuing position.
As Head Coach, this individual is responsible for all aspects of the women’s softball program (recruiting, conducting practices, games’ strategy, scheduling, academic monitoring, etc.
In addition to the position’s primary responsibility, this position will be required to play a leadership role in departmental fundraising and in support of the college’s enrollment management initiatives.
Rhode Island College is a regional comprehensive public college that serves approximately 6,400 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students through its five schools : The Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development, the School of Business, the School of Nursing and the School of Social Work.

Required qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of five years of successful experience coaching at the intercollegiate level or a combination of five plus years of successful experience at the interscholastic and collegiate level.
- Knowledge of the NCAA; its rules, regulations and philosophies.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit student-athletes at the intercollegiate level.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate vans and automobiles.
