Work with a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers to develop and deploy GenAI applications supporting Walmart finance department.
Build state-of-the-art LLM models by training with massive amounts of Walmart data utilizing open-source or in-house tools.

Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate closely with business teams to identify opportunities and translate requirements into innovative technical solutions.
- Lead the design and development of generative AI solutions, utilizing established techniques and creating custom algorithms when necessary.
- Work closely with engineers and platform architects to integrate and deploy robust ML applications and systems.
- Stay at the forefront of data science and machine learning advancements by continuously exploring and evaluating new technologies and methodologies.
- Conduct advanced analyses to provide recommendations on the applicability and efficiency of product features.
What You'll Bring
- Strong knowledge of retail and one or more business practices across domains such as product, finance, marketing, technology, and business systems.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
- Experience with large dataset mining tools and open-source programming tools (e.g., R, Python).
- Expertise in solving optimization problems using integer programming.
- Ability to deconstruct abstract problems, formulate hypotheses, and conduct detailed analyses.
- Experience navigating ambiguity and building rapid business cases / prototypes.
- Hands-on experience with analytics and reporting tools such as Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery), Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.

Minimum Qualifications
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position :
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
- Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- 4 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Data science, machine learning, optimization models, Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R.
