Wholesale Account Manager Crop Protection

The Wholesale Account Manager is responsible for implementing the direct sales process with selected Strategic Accounts within the Crop Protection business in Eastern Canada.

The successful individual will build a sustainable business relationship with wholesale customers, select distributors, while coordinating the support from the Sollio team to provide exceptional customer service in product knowledge, forecasting and logistic support.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct strategic analysis and successfully deliver sales targets within the wholesale and distributor accounts in the Eastern Canada geography.
  • Execute a comprehensive call strategy that aligns with the wholesale objectives of the Agrico sales team.
  • Position and support crop protection products with all assigned accounts.
  • Negotiate & coordinate value proposition delivery.
  • Facilitate the coordination of the support and sales teams to deliver on business needs.
  • Coordinate customer activities to provide support & strengthen relationships.
  • Coordinate the delivery of product knowledge, and positioning at the field level.
  • Understand customer needs and provide feedback to the organization on product performance, program effectiveness, and competitive activity.
  • Suggest improvements or alternative tactics to help achieve territory goals.
  • Continue to develop professionally by remaining current with new technologies and sales management tools and tactics.

This position can be located anywhere in Eastern Canada.

WHAT YOU BRING

You fit the following profile :

  • You have a bachelors degrees in Agronomy, Business or Marketing;
  • A minimum of 10 years of agricultural sales or agronomy experience with a demonstrated ability to build strategic and long-term business relationships.
  • You are very proficient in Microsoft 365, specially in Microsoft Excel;
  • You have experience working with strategic accounts in Eastern Canada;
  • You have excellent communication and negotiating skills with the capacity to develop and maintain productive relationships with various partners;
  • You have a solid understanding of agronomic practices in crop protection;
  • You can manage your time and workload to meet firm deadlines;
  • Due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national customers, functional bilingual language skills in French and English will be an asset for this position.
