Position Overview :
The User Experience team at Alteryx is a group of highly motivated, creative problem solvers dedicated to the creation of exceptional user experiences.
Alteryx is actively looking for a Senior UX Research Operations Manager to join our distributed research team. Operating within the Product Management organization, this individual will take a leading role in uncovering actionable insights from users that drive the design and development of next-generation analytical software.
This role reports to the Senior Manager of UX Research.
What you will do :
As a key member of the UX Research team, the ideal candidate will oversee and facilitate our teams' best work by improving overall operations of our user research team, connecting resources to research needs, measuring overall impact, and removing barriers to doing great work.
The successful candidate will be an expert in problem solving and multitasking that can also build long-term relationships with the team.
They will utilize a full range of organizational and interpersonal skills that help our talented team operate at their highest and most effective level.
Responsibilities :
Be responsible for operational improvements necessary to support user research team (i.e., Data Governance, Vendor Management, Participant Recruitment, Asset Management, Knowledge Management, Templates and Guidelines)
Build out the strategy for Participant Management and Panel Health and execute it (i.e., develop new recruiting channels, mechanisms, and best practices;
track panel composition and recommend strategic recruits based on upcoming projects or gaps identified; closely monitor panel engagement levels for purge and refresh efforts)
Create and maintain processes with other functions (i.e., finance, legal, procurement, security)
Proactively identify and drive improvements as they relate to tools, processes, documentation.
Implement and oversee metrics program to ensure that the team and program are hitting objectives and driving measurable impact
Manage team budget, including vendor and tool management
Support UX researchers in their day-to-day activities - assist with challenging recruiting, troubleshoot tools etc.
Clearly identify, explain, and communicate progress, status, expectations, dependencies, and risks to various audiences while managing overall risks for projects, driving commitments to schedule and quality
Research Operations skills :
5+ years working in a Research Operations role, ideally with UX Research teams.
Must have extensive knowledge of Qualtrics.
Strong understanding of UX research tools. Familiarity with UserInterviews, Airtable and UserZoom is highly desired.
Proven track record of overseeing / leading end-to-end research participant recruiting processes for B2B.
Familiarity with JavaScript is strongly desired.
Must be fluent in data privacy policies (GDPR, etc.) and understand how they apply to UX research.
Experience with democratization of research is highly desirable.

Must be an independent thinker, with a proven track record of improving processes, resulting in greater operational efficiency and team productivity
Demonstrated service-oriented mindset - you will be required to adapt to shifting priorities, be empathetic and resilient when negotiating tradeoffs with stakeholders
Must be able to build strong relationships, creating partnerships with functions across the org and the globe that your team relies on - Legal, Privacy, Security, Procurement, Finance, etc.
Must possess strong prioritization skills - able to determine what’s feasible given time and resource requirements, distinguish critical from non-critical issues and set team focus and priorities accordingly.
Must be capable of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Must possess strong organization skills, experience juggling competing priorities while effectively communicate with stakeholders
Compensation
Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
The salary range for this role in California, Colorado, Washington, Texas, and Rhode Island is $112,000 - $143,000.
In addition, you may be eligible for other compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
