BASIC OVERVIEW
The primary responsibility for the Stock Equipment Operator is to ensure bins and products are stocked at the highest desired level.
The Stock Equipment Operator should have excellent knowledge of product information, warehouse procedures, and other expectations assigned by management.
The Stock Equipment Operator is responsible for ensuring accurate movement of inventory throughout the distribution center's departments.
The Stock Equipment Operator is responsible for safely utilizing equipment to fulfill their duties. The Stock Equipment Operator should have the ability to maintain a strong attention to detail and perform with high accuracy.
This is a weekend shift 7 : 00AM-6 : 30PM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with an option to work on Thursday or Monday if wanting more than the 33 hour work week.
Training will take place on 1st shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely operate and maintain warehouse equipment to carry out job duties to ensure a safe work environment, including stockpicker, reach forklift, and stand-up rider pallet truck equipment
- Stock inventory to fulfill orders as they are processed to ensure that customers receive orders efficiently and accurately
- Ensure the quality of stocking processes, to include quantities and correct product
- Ensure the quality of bin locations, to include organization and cleanliness
- Keep work zone clean and orderly so that warehouse is a safe and clean work environment
- Communicate with leadership on any issues or concerns that arise regarding work duties
- Ensure incoming date-coded inventory is closely monitored for near expiration dates
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, distribution environment; receiving and / or inventory experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of various members of the leadership team and their roles
- Must be proficient using a handheld device
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Initiative to work with minimal instruction and direction
- Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
- Ability to work at elevations of up to 40 feet
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Work is performed while standing and / or walking, up to and including 12 hours / day
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
- Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
