Starting at $75K + / DOE

Overview :

The Executive Sous-Chef at Red O Taste of Mexico restaurants will oversee kitchen operations in a high-volume, fine-dining Mexican restaurant setting.

Responsibilities include menu planning, staff management, ensuring high-quality food production, scheduling, financial control, and assisting the executive chef.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient food production and adherence to quality standards.
  • Create and maintain kitchen schedules to optimize staffing and workflow.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of fresh ingredients and manage inventory levels.
  • Input invoices and maintain financial controls, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines up to $14.5 million.
  • Assist the executive chef in menu development, costing, and implementation.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain a high level of culinary proficiency and teamwork.
  • Uphold sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience as a sous-chef in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Experience in managing budgets and controlling costs.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Mexican cuisine and culinary techniques is a plus.

Pay : Starting at $75,000.00 per year
