Registered Nurse / Emergency Department - Rome, GA (#25076)
Minimum of 3 years current experience in an emergency department or major trauma center emergency room
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to fill an opening with an Outpatient Clinic located in Rome, Georgia
Requirements of the Registered Nurse :
- Must have at least 3 years current (must have worked within the last six months) experience in an emergency department or major trauma center emergency room with no more than a six-month gap working in that setting
- Must be a graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or in a related field or a master’s degree in Nursing or in a related field is highly preferred.
- Must have an unrestricted registered nurse license from any state (United States).
- Preferred to have the Certification of Emergency Nursing (CEN) through the Board of Certifications for Emergency Nurses (BCEN).
Nurses with Acute / Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) certifications through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Certification Corporation (AACN) with ED experience will also be considered.
Current and (must have worked within the last six months).

This is a Full-time position
Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse :
- Emergency Department Nurses will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill and injured veterans.
- Duties include documenting observations, assessments, and changes in patient's condition; collaborating with health team members to facilitate positive patient care outcomes;
providing a full range of nursing care to patients with various physical and behavioral problems; and being accountable for meeting and maintaining the qualification standards.
- Assessment and care of patients with a wide range of physical and psychological diagnoses and with a wide range of treatment modalities.
- Care of patients undergoing operative / invasive procedures
- Care of patients requiring special precautions such as isolation
- Inserting and maintenance of peripheral lines
- Maintaining central lines for administration of intravenous fluid
- Complete and accurate documentation of care, on time, according to facility / unit policies
- Phlebotomy and bedside testing
- On-call status may be required at the discretion of the Nurse Manager
- Insertion and troubleshooting of Urinary catheters
- Initiates patient education, as prescribed by the physician during discharge
- Display and promote professionalism and excellent customer service during interactions with patients and their families / caregivers
- May be required to work with COVID-19-positive patients and Patients Under Investigation (PUI), for COVID 19
