About the Role
The Quality Management Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting Spellman QMS for adherence to ISO Standards and other quality engineering functions as assigned.
What You Will Do
Understand changes and update Quality Management System when ISO 9001 and other ISO standards as applicable depending on the site.
Maintain Quality Manual in accordance with the latest version of ISO 9001.
Develop and manage Internal Audit schedule for both Valhalla and Hauppauge, NY locations.
Oversee and participate in Internal Audits, review completed reports, distribute them to appropriate personnel.
The position is responsible for the quality management system compliance at both the Valhalla and Hauppauge, NY locations.
Assist with 3rd party (UL / DQS and customer) audits of QMS (ISO 9001 and other ISO standards as applicable per site).
Perform compliance reviews, as part of NPI, including safety, regulatory, environmental compliance (RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals) and risk assessment of potential sources of supply.
Addressing and helping to implement corrective actions for audit findings (internal or external)
Training the workforce on daily compliance to processes and procedures and the importance of following the standards
Ensure Management reviews are held to address compliance plans, risks, and opportunities.
Coordinate with other Spellman High Voltage locations regarding 3rd party audits and QMS issues.
Determine ways to continually improve the Quality Management System.
Coordinating the creation, review and implementation of policies and procedures resulting from new laws and regulations
Designing and coordinating the preparation and ongoing review of policies, procedures, training materials and other communication tools to ensure departments meet compliance requirements.
Other Quality Engineering functions as assigned.
What You Need :
Minimum 5 years of experience as a QMS lead management representative.
Experience working for a multinational company and the ability to communicate effectively across language and cultural barriers with multiple sites.
Experience working within and sustaining Quality Management Systems.
Must have successfully completed ISO 9001 Lead Auditor training (latest revision).
Other Lead Auditor training such as IATF 16949; ISO 13485; AS9100 are beneficial, but not required.
Strong project management skills.
Exceptional skill at organizing tasks and efficiently managing time.
Good skills working with standard quality tools
Good skills in root cause corrective action
Our good faith estimate of the wage range for this role is $100,000 - $132,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors.

Working Conditions
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Must be able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time;
- able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis; able to perform general office administrative activities : copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone;
able to lift and move up to 34 pounds occasionally.
This candidate for this position would be ideally positioned to be able to support both the Valhalla and the Hauppauge, NY sites.
Typical week would consist of 2 days in the Valhalla facility and 3 days in the Hauppauge facility.
Travel outside of these two Spellman High Voltage Electronics locations would be 15% or less. Not approved for remote or hybrid.
This position is an on-site position at one of the two locations.
