Building Maintenance Technician

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

• Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building
• Calibrate instruments and tools required for job responsibilities
• Maintain fire, carbon monoxide, smoke and other safety systems within the structure
• Evacuate building in the event of an emergency
• Maintain corporate safety procedures at all times and comply with access control regulations
• Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects
• Receive and respond to tenant reports of mechanical or maintenance issues on their premises
• Communicate with facilities management about any work that requires outside expert assistance

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualification :

• Minimum 18 years of age and a high school diploma or GED, or currently enrolled in a technical degree program in good standing, and up to 3 years of general building maintenance experience
• Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and / or weekends if needed
• Capable of basic installation and repairs to plumbing, HVAC, electrical, custodial, and other areas as needed
• Perform Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) control level issue diagnosis and maintenance (Allen Bradley)
• Maintain and troubleshoot all automated conveyor systems in the building
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.

The expected starting pay range for this position is between $28-$36 per hour.

Compensation :

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
