The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for one (1) Full-Time, Permanent Procurement & Contracts Specialist 1 position.

What will you do?

In this position, you will develop and release contractual documents to procure goods and services for the department. The procurement of goods and services requires research, evaluation, and interpretation of related laws, rules, and regulations to ensure the department’s compliance.

You will perform backup duties in the Stockroom and assist Supply Specialist as needed. You will perform work with excellent customer service, professionalism, and stewardship.

Minimum Qualifications ( these must be addressed in your resume for full consideration ) :

Three years’ paraprofessional or technical-level experience in a related field such as general business, accounting, contracts, purchasing, or project administration support.

A bachelor’s degree will substitute for the experience.

A one-year certificate in supply chain, logistics management, procurement, or a related field will substitute for one year of experience.

Ability to organize work efficiently and conduct effectively

Ability to verify information against a set of standards and verify accurateness

Ability to move heavy boxes of supplies (up to 50lbs)
