Overview of Role

In this role, the candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks across the financial reporting and audit cycle.

The candidate will reconcile balance sheet accounts to maintain their precision, contributing to our month-end close process, manage receivables and payables, and support the audit function.

It will be ideal for the candidate to possess strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies, exceptional organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and clear communication skills to effectively interact with team members at all levels.

The individual will work closely with leaders in the Accounting department as well as communicate daily with other departments in the firm.

This role is also global in nature as it involves interacting with Accounting managers in other countries at R&Co to reconcile intercompany balances.

It is also critical that the candidate effectively handles multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily accounting transactions
• Assist with the month-end / year-end closing process.
• Create and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
• Generate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and prepare financial reports for management.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date on current accounting standards and best practices.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting (minimum GPA of 3.3)
• Master’s degree in Accounting is a plus

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

• 1-3 years of related work experience is a plus
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, shortcuts, data management)
• Ability to task-switch in a fast-paced environment
• SAP experience a plus
