Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant .
Minimum of one (1) year of experience required.
This is a FULL TIME / TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 8AM-4 : 30PM (may flex depending on office and MD), Monday through Friday, located in Norfolk, VA (23501).
Responsibilities :
A Day in the life of a Certified Medical Assistant :
As a Certified Medical Assistant you will be responsible for patient care under the direction of the provider. Some of the work duties include rooming patients, data entry in an EMR system, gathering vitals, prescription refills and cancellations, assistance with in-office minor procedures, stocking rooms, patient education, and other duties as assigned.
Travel to Virginia Beach on occasion to cover the other office PRN.
Requirements for the Certified Medical Assistant :
- Required : 1+ year of paid experience working as a Certified Medical Assistant
- Required : Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant
- Required : BLS
- Required : Flu Vaccination
- Required : Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
- Required : Must be reliable and a quick learner and have ability to multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment
- Required : Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Required : EMR experience
Preferred Qualifications for the Certified Medical Assistant :
Preferred : ENT experience preferred
Benefits :
- $17.00-$20.00 an hour (depending on experience level)
