Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a full-time contract Psychiatrist position in a school district located in Plymouth, MN. This role will serve students in a Setting 34 environment, supporting their mental health needs and collaborating with educators and families to ensure student success.

Schedule : Standard school hours, with potential renewal based on performance

Responsibilities

The Psychiatrist will play a key role in the academic and emotional success of students. Typical duties include :

Conducting psychiatric assessments and evaluations for students in specialized settings

Developing and implementing individualized treatment and intervention plans

Collaborating with educators, school staff, and families to address student needs

Monitoring progress and adjusting treatment as needed

Providing crisis intervention and emergency support when necessary

Documenting assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with district and state standards

Participating in IEP meetings and contributing psychiatric expertise

Offering consultation and professional guidance to staff on student mental health issues

Qualifications

Must meet all local and state licensure and certification requirements to practice psychiatry

Previous experience in school-based settings or with pediatric populations preferred

Experience with special education students and families is highly valued

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
