The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of one DevOps Engineer 3 hereafter referred to as Worker who meets the general qualification of DevOps Engineer 3 and the specifications outlined in this document for the abovenamed customer.

As a key member of the DevSecOps team this DevOps Engineer 3 will (a) Develop review modify and enhance CI / CD principles (b) Install configure and maintain CI / CD tools & platforms (c) Develop and maintain CI / CD pipeline configurations (d) Automate processes and (e) Develop monitor and optimize Batch Jobs and Operations.

In addition this DevOps engineer will be assigned to install configure build and deploy applications in support of Eligibility Supporting Technology applications.

This position is central to ensuring these applications and services remain current across all development test training and production environments.

This DevOps engineer will also provide environment triage support. This responsibility includes both workday and night / weekend oncall support for all development test training and production environments.

This service helps maintain high availability for developers testers trainers and production end users.

This position works under minimal direction with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Develop monitor and optimize Batch Jobs and Operations.
• Analyzes the technology currently being used and develops plans and processes for improvement and expansion.
• Implements and enhances an advanced CI / CD solution. Develops codes tests builds installs configures and maintains IT solutions.
• Analyzes processes and deployments and proposes improvements to streamline code deployments and minimize errors.
• Uses configuration management software to automatically deploy updates and fixes into the various production & nonproduction environments.
• Documents processes and procedures.
• Support Production and NonProduction related activities and issues.
• Support releases and sprint related activities.
• Provide enterprise level solutions for existing automation in place while developing new solutions.
• Develop proposal plan for approval.

II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Experience automating fulllife cycle of complex enterprise IT env. using IaC CaC & CI / CD tools integrated into 1 unified solution supporting standup of new env or frequent mod to existing env in areas such as IBM WebSphere MQ & Oracle products AWS

Designing and Implementing automation solutions for scalability repeatability and recoverability

Required

Proven ability and experience designing and implementing advanced automation solutions using tools such as Terraform Terragrunt Ansible Automation Platform Github actions Jenkins Liquibase etc.

Experience with one or more programming / script languages such as Python GoLang Shell Ruby bash shell Perl

Experience with Containers and Container orchestration Kubernetes platforms such as PODMAN docker EE / OpenShift / Rancher And packaging tools such as Helm Charts and Kustomize

Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems

Experience designing and implementing solutions using AWS Wellarchitected framework

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
