The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning, and disposition of Data center assets worldwide.

We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers.

Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.

The ISP team manages the supply plan, the signal that is sent to our sourcing partners, End To End Inventory, as well as CAPEX within Cloud Capacity Planning.

This position, Supply Chain Planner (CAPEX), will be responsible for leading the Server Component CAPEX monthly process and driving alignment with Finance partners on investments needed to execute the Plan of Record.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and optimize the monthly rhythm of business to deliver Server Component CAPEX ask on time per workback timeline.
  • Collaborate and drive alignment across Planning, Sourcing, and Finance on the sub-elements of CAPEX ask (Standard, Non-Standard, Buffer, NPI).
  • E2E SOP owner driving governance and training of process as well as continuous improvement to optimize effectiveness & efficiency.
  • Execute ROB in SAP / IBP to ensure approved component capex and buffer levels are ingested into supplier forecast.
  • Generate monthly Structural and Server Network CAPEX asks.
  • Build out CAPEX analytics to understand trends, current forecast vs approvals, and actualization.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Capacity Planning, Server and Component Planning, Finance and Systems Engineering teams.
