Responsible for preparation of quality food for patients, associates and customers using standardized recipes and production sheets.
Other responsibilities may include tray assembly, distribution and service, general sanitation, cleaning and use of kitchen equipment.
Qualifications : High School graduate or GED equivalent.
Experience : Two (2) years of food preparation experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, recipes, production-system reports, short correspondence and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute ratio, and percent. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, or oral form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Sensory requirements include near acuity (see clearly 20 inches or less). Should also have good hearing acuity (ability to distinguish sounds or tones).
Subject to sufficient noise to cause distraction. Requires moderate physical effort (lift / carry up to 25 pounds). Frequent standing and walking.
Occasionally, lift supplies / equipment. Prolonged standing. Exposed to hot or noisy equipment. Experiences extreme fluctuations on workloads.
Regularly exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat.
Successful candidates will be subject to criminal background and drug screens.
