Job Description :

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING :

This analyst evaluates and designs transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency.

Research and analyze freight costs and classifications, delivery methods and delivery schedules to minimize delivery costs and maximize customer satisfaction.

Maintain databases of freight costs and transportation networks.

Assist in negotiating transportation rates in accordance with company guidelines and standards.

Assist in the analysis of transportation costs, equipment availability and service levels.

Conduct cost studies to develop negotiating leverage, evaluate alternatives and reduce costs.

Coordinate foreign merchandise production, quota, customs documentation and transportation as needed.

Coordinate transportation logistics between warehouses, carriers, and customers.

May work with customs officials to work out delays and obtain release of incoming freight.

May assist in compliance with federal regulations.

Qualifications :

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :

Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) or ERP software (e.g., SAP).

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work well in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $54,000k - $68,000k and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.

This position is a hybrid role working Monday through Thursday in the office with the option to work on Friday at home.
