The Automotive Technician is responsible for servicing and repairing vehicles as assigned by the Shop Manager or Service Personnel.

Our Techs expertly diagnose customer vehicle problems, accurately prescribe correct repair action(s), and promptly deliver the required service, thereby meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

In addition, our Technician identifies and promotes our company culture of cooperation collaboration among all techs.

By doing so, the Midas Technician is both a teacher and a student, regardless of tenure.

The ideal Automotive Technician has a high school diploma / GED (advanced education, a plus), a minimum of two ASE certifications (or aspirations to attain them), two years of vehicle repair experience, an unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record, and a strong technical performance record.

COMPENSATION

$18.00-$30.00 / hour

RESPONSIBILITIES

Use shop equipment such as lifts, welders, diagnostic equipment, etc.

with confidence and in accordance with all safety procedures

  • Expertly diagnose issues based upon experience, analysis, and testing
  • Maintain leading-edge knowledge of automotive diagnosis technology, digital manuals, and reference materials
  • Possess an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact
  • Perform routine service inspections, test, and lubricate engines and other major components
  • Repair automobiles and light trucks that run on multiple fuel sources
  • Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry, as well as in the diagnostics arena
  • Know and adhere to safety and environmental standards for maintenance / repair facilities
  • Leading or train other, less qualified, technicians in maintenance / repair activity when required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two ASE certifications (or aspirations to attain them)
  • High school diploma / GED (advanced education desired)
  • Two years maintenance / repair experience
  • Highly collaborative nature
  • Current and unrestricted driver's license
  • Able to operate a standard transmission
  • Impressive work ethic
