Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Transition Personnel Security Specialist to join our team in the DMV area.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

The Transition Personnel Security Specialist supports the clearance processing of the staff during the Transition-In period.

They assess, implement, and maintain security measures for an organization's personnel, ensuring the protection of sensitive information and resources.

They conduct investigations, background checks, and risk assessments to identify potential security threats and take appropriate mitigation steps.

They provide guidance and support to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures and train staff on security awareness and best practices.

They collaborate with various stakeholders, such as the Human Resource, Legal, and IT Departments, to develop and implement effective security strategies and protocols.

The Transition Personnel Security Specialist plays a crucial role in safeguarding personnel and assets from potential security risks.

The Transition Personnel Security Specialist is a journeyman with experience in conducting background investigations and risk assessments along with other duties associated with organizational personnel security.

Transition Personnel Security Specialist takes direction from more senior personnel. They collaborate and share work with other Transition personnel Security Analysts.

Basic Qualifications :

High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree

A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.

Preferred Qualifications :

4 years of position-specific relevant experience.

Clearance Requirements :

Must be a US Citizen

Must have an active an active Secret clearance

Physical Requirements :

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.

For all positions requiring access to technology / software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.

S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license. The applicant will be required to answer certain questions for export control purposes, and that information will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law.

ManTech may choose not to apply for a license for such individuals whose access to export-controlled technology or software source code may require authorization and may decline to proceed with an applicant on that basis alone.
