The AP Manager will have strong initiative, high attention to detail, experience developing cash flow and liquidity models, and the ability to work proactively in a team environment and on multiple assignments simultaneously.

The AP Manager will maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts payable transactions, and will be responsible for managing a team of accounts payable specialists.

This role will be responsible for leading an efficient, unified, and success-driven team, and will also oversee change management as this shared-services functional team is scaling.

  • Global short term and long term cash forecasting, variance analysis, risk and reconciliation, and strategic planning and budgeting.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department.
  • Manage all bank accounts and maintain relations with banks. Research and monitor bank accounts globally to improve funds-flow / cash flow, reduce bank fees, and build operational efficiencies.
  • Assume responsibility for cash management procedures; proactively interact with organizational stakeholders to determine priorities and compile information from around the company to create a routine cash forecasting process.
  • Develop daily / weekly / monthly / quarterly cash plans through analysis of budgetary needs and financial reports; ensure cash availability.
  • Develop strategies to optimize the cash position of the company.
  • Supervise a team of AP specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Providing leadership and guidance as we implement a new ERP system.
  • Review and approve invoices and payment requests for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and employee reimbursements.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable, transactions and activities.
  • Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including aging reports, spending analytics, cash flow projections, and other key metrics.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers, addressing any inquiries, disputes, or payment issues.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for automation of global cash flow forecasting processes. Collaborate with finance and technology teams to design and implement improvements to ERP and treasury systems.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and studies as necessitated and collaborate on functional projects that require financial expertise.
  • Assess and identify risks in liquidity management to support operational planning including foreign currency exposures and execution of hedging policy.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Participate in various special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Work experience as an AP Manager or a similar role in a complex business organization with 5+ years of experience.
  • Proven work experience of financial forecasting and information analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; especially MS Excel, and working knowledge of financial systems (NetSuite preferred), statement and reports.
  • Experience with process automation and implementing accounting software solutions with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.
  • Self-starter mentality.
