Job Summary :
The Metal Fabrication Tech will work inside and outside the shop and will be responsible for providing technical support and solutions to clients in the field, ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our metal fabrication products.
This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities :
Client Support : Act as the primary point of contact for clients on-site, addressing technical questions and concerns related to our metal fabrication products and services.
Installation & Maintenance : Oversee and assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of metal fabrication products, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly and effectively, utilizing your expertise to provide solutions that meet client needs.
Training : Provide training and guidance to clients and internal staff on product usage, maintenance, and best practices.
Documentation : Maintain detailed records of site visits, technical issues, solutions provided, and any client feedback to ensure accurate reporting and continuous improvement.
Collaboration : Work closely with engineering, sales, and support teams to relay client feedback, identify potential product improvements, and enhance overall service delivery.
Compliance : Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and integrity.
Qualifications :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial technology, or a related field preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technical field service role, preferably within the metal fabrication or manufacturing industry.
Technical Skills : Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, equipment, and materials. Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical information to clients and team members.
