The State Bar of Wisconsin is a professional association, created by the Wisconsin Supreme Court, for all attorneys who hold a Wisconsin law license.

What You Will Do
The Product and Publications manager is responsible for the overall management and innovative direction of State Bar PINNACLE® research tools and books.
The State Bar books unit develops and delivers high-quality, relevant legal education content, materials, and related products to achieve financial objectives and the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
PINNACLE Books strives to ensure members have the most current and relevant information around changing laws, cases, and emerging information that may impact legal practice.
The manager is responsible for the evaluation of product life cycle, the identification of new and innovative material, marketing, pricing, education, and revenue generation. You will :
- Establish and lead a short-term and long-term strategic plan for the book unit including product performance goals, staff goals, revenue growth, and other measures of success.
- Assess and manage the ROI of existing product line considering the life cycle stages, pricing models, and updating schedules of each product line.
- Collect, analyze, and use customer data to drive product innovation, understand purchasing decisions, and identify emerging needs of members.
- Evaluate market for penetration and expansion opportunity.
- Develop and champion a sales strategy including marketing plans, pricing models, and sales models for each product line.
- Manage the State Bar books team of 10.
Requirements
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- Product management skills including portfolio management, pricing, marketing, sales, and customer management.
- Three to five years relevant experience with prior management, supervisory, budgeting experience. Law practice and / or publishing industry experience is a bonus.
- Proactive, positive, problem solver and decision maker.
- Innovative and flexible with respect to changing and challenging business environments.
- Collaborative leader with a proven track record of cultivating positive relationships.
- Strategic planning and critical thinking skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and self-motivation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Familiarity with the uses of XML, XSL, and HTML and an understanding of new technologies and software.
